Geneva, May 12, 2009 - WSI Corporation (www.wsi.com), the most trusted weather decision support provider in the aviation industry, today announced the latest version of the company’s weather display application for electronic flight bags (EFBs): WSI InFlight 5.0.  On display this week at EBACE 2009, WSI InFlight 5.0 integrates with Avidyne’s Iridium based transceivers to provide WSI’s highest quality weather information on most EFBs.  Supporting diverse datasets, the application delivers timely weather information to aviators worldwide.

WSI InFlight 5.0 is being demonstrated in collaboration with datalink partner Avidyne in the DAC International booth #383.  European weather radar, METARS and TAFs will be shown during the show.  Lightning, Winds and Temperature aloft information will be added prior to release of the software.  Weather data for Europe, South America and Australia will be available this year.  Other regions for weather coverage are planned and the software, with its existing interface to the WSI AV300/AV350 Sirius broadcast weather system, provides a high glance value depiction of current conditions over North America as well.  The software will be installable on any EFB using a MS Windows XP operating system including options available from ADR, Air Gator, CMC Electronics, DAC International, IMS Flight Deck, L-3, navAero and Teledyne.

Pricing and Availability
WSI InFlight 5.0 will be available for purchase directly from WSI in October this year.  Pricing will be on a per aircraft basis.  New installations will be available for a one time fee of $889USD.  Existing WSI InFlight 4.2 customers will be able to upgrade to WSI InFlight 5.0 for $295USD.
